Michael Patrick Traynor, age 85, of McKeesport, PA, died on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. He was born in Homestead, PA, on February 11, 1941 and was the son of the late Michael and Dorothy (Eichler) Traynor of ChristyPark, McKeesport, Pa. Michael was the husband of the late Rita Frances (Koto) Traynor, who died on November 22, 2025 (They were together for over 60 years and passed within 6-months of one another). Michael Traynor was once the proprietor of the local State Inspection Service Station Center thats now a Sunoco Gas Station in WhiteOak Pa, and owner Village Auto in Mckeesport,PA. Michael Traynor was certified as a State of Pennsylvania Auto Inspections Mechanic that specialized in Volkswagon/German foriegn motors. Michael and Rita both attended, participated and consistantly took great pride within their Catholic faith together and was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish of Mckeesport Pa. Michael is survived by his sons, Michael Traynor of McKeesport, PA; Derrian Galensky of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Layla Traynor; Paul Galensky (deceased); sisters, Mary Ann Bower (the late William Bower) of Munhall, PA; Betty Jo Scott (the late Mark Scott) of McKeesport; Dorothy Zuckerman of Swissvale, PA; sister-in-law, Susan Traynor (the late Daniel Traynor) of Oakdale, CT; and as with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Marie (Galensky) Traynor; and brothers, Daniel Traynor of Oakdale CT; Louis Traynor (the late Carolyn Traynor); younger siblings Patrick Traynor and James Traynor of Mckeesport,PA.
